Radiohead challenges traditional music business model
Here’s an interesting experiment, Radiohead will be offering their seventh album “In Rainbows” in MP3 format at Radiohead.com. Fans will be able to choose which tracks to download and how much to pay or not to pay at all!
Radiohead said its seventh studio album “In Rainbows” would be available from Radiohead.com from October 10 in MP3 format, meaning it can be played on all digital devices. In the latest twist in the move to digital music, fans can choose how much to pay, or can pay nothing if they prefer.
I took a look at their website and it does not mention that you can download it for free it does say though that “this transaction may be charged a transaction fee.” In any case this is a very interesting experiment and I’m sure a lot of other music artists will be taking a look at the results. Personally I think it’s possible that they will make significant money off the downloads given it’s “newness” but I don’t see all music artists going this route… But then again who knows ?

I remember my first time on this website. My friend and I were looking for something totally new, something we haven’t read or heard about. We were so tired of college, and didn’t have too much time to go out. And we found this site, and now we come ever day to read some cool information or to discuss something with other people. It’s interesting to hear different points of view!
