eBay.ph Now Charging Fees

I recently got an iPod Nano 8GB 3rd Gen which I decided to sell at eBay.ph since I already have an old 60gb iPod and a Sansa Clip. It’s been quite a while since I last posted an item in eBay.ph so imagine my surprise when I found out that they already started charging for […]

GDrive’s Coming!

GDrive’s Coming! GDrive’s Coming! Oh wait, it’s actually already here only it’s called GSpace. Considering that I’ve been using GSpace for almost two years now it’s really puzzling why Google is coming out with their online storage service only now.
I’ve used several online storage services before (OmniDrive, eSnips, xDrive, box.net, etc), frankly most of them […]

Tech Stuff at the 20th Philippine Ad Congress: VANI-TXT

Pay-per-surf meets 3G, get paid to view advertisements on your phone streamed via 3G. Here’s how it works:
You send an SMS to VANI-TXT indicating the company who’s ad you want to see.

After viewing the ad you get paid via a load credit. Load, rinse and repeat again.

Sounds a lot like pay-per-surf and just like […]

More on Smart Bro Goes Mobile

Was in a bit of a hurry earlier and missed out a few details on my post on Smart Bro Goes Mobile. Anyway, it costs P799 per month maximum of 60 hours usage, after that you get charged P10 every 30 minutes. Speed is 384kbps, basically it’s a repackaged internet via a Smart 3G phone.
There’s […]

Smart Bro Goes Mobile

Greetings from Subic at the Smart Bro Congress!!! Errr actually it’s the 20th Philippine Advertising Congress but you’d think that it was an Smart event given the number of Smart Advertisement plastered all over the place.
Anyway, it’s about an hour before the official opening but I was able to drop by the Smart booth where […]

Sandisk Sansa TakeTV

I came across this new product from Sandisk - the Sandisk Sansa TakeTV. Basically it’s a USB stick (in either 4GB or 8GB), the twist is that you can connect it to a TV (thru S-Video or Composite Video) and have it play video files. It can play MPEG4 videos including DivX and Xvid supports both NTSC and PAL.

Virtual Strippers to Boost Productivity ?

Trend Micro says that there’s a new Trojan called TROJ_CAPTCHAR.A which takes advantage of unsuspecting users to decode CAPTCHA images by luring them with virtual strippers:
TROJ_CAPTCHAR.A disguises itself as a strip-tease game, wherein a scantily clad “Melissa” agrees to take off a little bit of her clothing. However, for her to strut her stuff, users […]

Taxi from (Smart Bro) Hell

Just read about this taxi selling Smart Bro in Yugatech’s blog. I gotta say Smart Bro’s real smart (pardon the pun) when it comes to sales and marketing techniques but I do wish they would use that talent into making their product better. Smart Bro was the first broadband that I had back when they […]

Sansa Clip: iPod Shuffle Killer ?

I’ve been thinking of going back to the gym lately. I’m one of those guys who sign up for a whole year to get a discount, go to the gym religiously for the next two months then find excuses to start going to the gym less and less until I eventually stop going. Yup I’m […]

Google’s OpenSocial Hacked!

Looks like someone got working on Google’s Opensocial API. Within 45 minutes of releasing "emote", Plaxo’s OpenSocial application got hacked…
A developer who goes by the alias “theharmonyguy” and describes himself as “just an amateur” claims to have compromised the RockYou OpenSocial application on Plaxo called emote (see the Plaxo blog for details on the application). […]
