Sansa Clip: iPod Shuffle Killer ?
I’ve been thinking of going back to the gym lately. I’m one of those guys who sign up for a whole year to get a discount, go to the gym religiously for the next two months then find excuses to start going to the gym less and less until I eventually stop going. Yup I’m every gym’s dream customer.
Anyway, given my deteriorating state of health from doing nothing but working on my laptop all day, I’ve decided to give it another go. To lessen the boredom associated with working out I thought of getting an MP3 player so I can listen to podcasts while exercising. I’ve just recently discovered the joys of podcasts and have been listening to them during my commute. It’s been so fun that sometimes I wish there was more traffic so I could finish a particular podcast!
I initially thought of getting one of those cheap MP3 players so that it wouldn’t be too much of a big deal if I broke it. But after a bit of surfing I found out about the Sansa Clip. At only $59.99 (P2,700) it’s already got 2GB of memory, a screen, voice recorder, FM tuner and more importantly comes in black - my choice of color in gadgets. Contrast that with the Shuffle which at a higher price (around P3,900) only has 1GB of memory and no screen and voice recorder. It definitely has what it takes to become an iPod Shuffle killer. The only think it lacks is the Apple branding.
I’ve already asked my aunt in the US to buy one for me and should be getting it next week. I’m crossing my fingers that it looks as good as it does in the pictures…
