Everything I Needed to Know, I Learned from the Blogosphere
Been making the rounds of blogs lately and it seems most of them are in the “Yearly Round Up/Top Posts of the Year” mode a.k.a. “I’m too lazy to write original content so I will rehash old content and pretend I’m saying something new”.
So in the spirit of christmas and comradery I’m following suit and coming up with my end of year round up. Problem is this blog is still new I don’t have that many posts to pick from, so instead of the usual top ten posts I’m coming up with the “Things I Learned from the Blogosphere”.
- If you build it (blog), they might not come.
- The more people hate you the more likely they will click your name.
- If you got it flaunt it whether it’s Page Rank (PR), Feedburner Subscribers, Web Rankings, etc.
- If you use SEO, adsense, optimize, monetize, keyword, search engine, web 2.0 often enough in the same sentence you automatically qualify as an internet marketing expert.
- If your avatar is a hot girl, you will get clicks.
- The blogosphere is just like high school, people want to hang out with the cool (high PR) kids hoping their coolness (PR juice) will rub off them.
- The guy who always comments first on blog posts is the same as the guy who always raises their hands first when the teacher asks a question - they’re dorks.
- When bloggers run out of things to say they invent stupid top ten lists.

You got it right, padre!
Now I have to think of what list to put in my blog…
